Cell.Us.Short Film Festival Rules and Regulations
The Cell.Us.Short Film Festival is an innovative new film festival that promotes and explores the emerging art medium from video camera phones.
A few simple rules:
The completed film must be 5 minutes or less.
It must be ENTIRELY shot with a cell phone.
If a film is 5 minutes and 1 sec, it will be disqualified. NO EXCEPTIONS.
The film must have been shot within the past 12 months.
The competition will be open to anyone, anywhere about anything.
(except porn and illegal things like child pornography).
There are no restrictions on the actual editing process. It can be edited with an editing suite of your choice (i.e. iMovie, Movie Maker, Final Cut,) your choice.
Output format can be any one of the following:
* DVD (NTSC or PAL)
* QuickTime, Windows Media, Real Player
* Flash (.fla) or Shockwave (.swf)
We must receive your completed film no later than October 1st, 2006.
NO EXCEPTIONS. We will not review any film delivered to us
after this deadline. PERIOD.
You may submit your film by USPS, UPS, FEDEX or similar to:

Or you may post your completed project on a public web site via YouTube (www.youtube.com ) or MySpace.com (www.myspace.com) or similar with a direct link to the video file or html page. The link must be submitted with the following required information to cell.us.short@mountainfilm.net.
You must supply us with accurate, valid, and verifiable information.
If you lie, we deny.
We need:
* Name
* Film Title
* Running Time
* Copyright Info
* Your contact info; email address or phone number
* Country and/or state of filming
* Make and Model of phone used
The film may not be copyrighted by anyone other than yourself or you must have full written permission to submit and show this film.
Awards and prizes will be given for the following categories:
* Best Overall Short
* Best New Mexico Short (must be completely shot in the state of New Mexico)
* Best Mountain Short. Topic must relate to mountain living, culture, and environs
* Best Innovative Use of Technological Media
* Best Storytelling Short
You must allow Cell.Us.Short to screen the film and
use any portion of the film in advertising and publicity.
The top films will be screened at this year's Taos Mountain Film Festival
in Taos, New Mexico on October 6-8, 2006.
